It is clear that unresolved issues in clients, patients and students are a major source of treatment ineffectiveness and inefficiency and, indeed, are primary barriers to the durability of your treatment in many educational and physical health care disciplines. It is important to acknowledge that the best way to work with emotional shock is both psychological and physical - and this is not the province of any one discipline! .. Trainings .. In my classes and workshops I share useful and important information about the common causes and long-term effects (some physical and many emotional) of babies' experiences at conception, throughout prenatal development, during birth and afterward. I also cover ways to help prevent prenatal and birth trauma, and indirect methods to use with babies and adults so their unresolved issues don't interfere with their healing. .. This information is valuable to people in a WIDE variety of professions, including: Peter Levine makes it clear in his book, Waking the Tiger, that people trained to deal with the psychology of shock are not as knowledgeable as they need to be about the somatic experience and effects of shock - which many physical health care practitioners ARE! And it is true that physical health practitioners are not as knowledgeable as they need to be about the psychological experience and effects of shock - which many psychologically-oriented practitioners are. .. People affected by shock need the awareness and combined efforts of both professionals to heal. .. Exciting New Information .. The information I present on the indirect treatment of pre- and perinatal shock is exciting and, in some cases, startling.
